The final regular season tournament for the Norman Winter Series anglers is on the books with Alfred Kiesling and Robert Stiltner taking the win with the heaviest sack for the season. They brought in five bass that weighed 16.58 lbs. and took home $780.00 in cash. Alfred said they caught their fish on a crankbait. Great job guys!!!
In second were our Norman Winter Series Point Champions for the 06'-07' season with five fish weighing 14.92 lbs. They also had big fish of the tournament at 4.25 lbs. and took home a total of $710.00 for their effort. Andy said they used a jig for their success and Louie emphasized, "Shooter Jigs". Andy and Louie will receive "Free Entries" into the 07'-08' Norman Winter Series for their points finish. Andy and Louie have had a great year with the National Bass Circuit winning our 2006 NBC "Pro Series" Championship held on Norman in November for a cool $25,000.00.
In third were Brian Morgan and Dale Goble with a limit weighing 10.72 lbs. and took home $340.00 and in fourth were Jerry Goble and Hank Cherry with a limit weighing 10.25 lbs. They took home $250.00 for the day!
Rounding out the money finishers were Stacey and Bill Richards in fifth with 10.03 lbs. for $200.00 and Steve Addington and Eddie Kirby with a 9.67 lb. limit good for $120.00.
In addition the Top 6 in Points (Because we had a tie for 6th) have automatically earned a spot in the 2007 NBC "Pro Series" Championship and the Top 3 in points have earned a spot in the 2008 TOP GUN Competition to be held on April 13th, 2008 on a lake to be determined.
The Top 30 teams in the points (31 teams have qualified because of a tie for 30th) are invited to the Norman Winter Series Championship to be held January 27, 2007 out of Pinnacle Access. The tournament will begin at 8am and weigh-in will begin at 3pm. Remember the championship has a $100.00 entry fee and you may pay the morning of the tournament.
1st Place at the Championship will be $1,500.00 and we will pay 8 places if we have at least 30 teams. This is two additional places based on the 1 for 6 formula used for the regular season. Big fish will pay $250.00 With 30 teams the total payout will be $4,650.00 plus we will have some door prizes as well before we award the prize money.
